Wes Craven ignoring Nightmare 2 for his story involvement in Nightmare 3 sort of began a tradition that’s much more common nowadays: The creator of a franchise returns, and ignores everything that was previously done without them. James Cameron did this with “Terminator: Dark Fate” (which I loved) John Carpenter with the recent Halloween movies, etc. That said, I enjoy both Nightmare 2 and Nightmare 3 as very different movies, and people ought to watch and appreciate each of them without it being some kind of a contest.

Botched back-alley abortions took unknown numbers of women's lives before Roe v Wade. Sad, that we've gone back toward that kind of tragedy lately.

I met you while doing an exit row briefing on your flight from chicago to Grand Rapids. Im so glad you spoke up sharing your photo with Carol Burnett. I find this interview with Carol Burnett both increidibly natural and unique similar to the manner you referred to Dick Cavett. This was so informative and enjoyable. Im so grateful that I got to meet you and learn of your work and talent. Thank you; Greg.

Instead of praising, how far society has come at the end of your video. You demonize what it was. Disappointed- let it go. And work on your monotone voice is very boring.

Great series, I saw all episodes, you really did your research on Carol Burnett. She is such an Icon, her story is dream it, work hard toward that dream, and she made it happen. I recently saw her hand and foot print ceremony at TCL Chinese Theatre. The very place where Carol dreamed about the great actors of there time, and now Carol Burnett has her hand and foot print for young dreamers to do the same. This was super day for all Carol Burnett fans and just knowing millions of people in the future will come to visit this famous site and see her name. This honor is well deserved. Thank You and to Carol B. for giving us such joy.

I'm a huge fan of my fellow Texan Carol Burnett. Your 7-part documentary and this interview was absolutely amazing! I have a question and I'm not sure you can answer it, but did Carol, after she herself became famous, ever get to meet Linda Darnell (another fellow Texan, from Dallas, where I was born) before her tragic death, and did she get to tell her the story she told in the interview with you?

Thank you for sharing this - I love hearing about old Hollywood. Seeing the black and white photo's makes them look so much older than in their 30's. Now to be in your 30's you're still young. My theory on who killed Taylor - is the mother. Mabel Normand's story is another one of my favorites - boy did she live a fascinating life!

Justin Root's videos are ALL extraordinary! They are the best LA Celebrity-based videos that you will ever see, and he can easily be compared to Kevin Brownlow as an expert documentarian. He is highly researched, his commentary is funny and insightful, and his camerawork looks as if the entire Cinematography Department at Universal was involved, not just Justin and his phone. Utterly brilliant! I haven't a clue how he got all those exquisite night shots of LA, with barely a soul around, making it look like a gorgeous and mysterious ghost town. He has really made me want to move there! I cannot say enough good about Justin---in a very short period, he has become LA's most important historian and urban documentarian. Watch anything----ANYTHING!---that he produces!

Roughly five year after Jody Hamilton's birth, her mother Carol and Lucille Ball were on 'The Dinah Shore Show' recalling how her middle child's arrival was overdue and Miss Burnett expressed her worries and frustration to her longtime pal Lucy and Lucy told her she'd cheer Miss Burnett up with a baby shower. Miss Burnett somewhat scoffed at that (and I think she may have already had one). Lucy was not to be dissuaded and got a bunch of friends together for this rather unusual shower in which Lucy's 2nd husband Gary Morton opened the baby gifts in front of everyone - and told some rather raucous jokes about each item . Anyway, Carol couldn't stop laughing throughout the whole thing and it not only cheered her up but the very next day she gave birth to Jody! Anyway, this is the first time I've seen Jody herself interviewed and she sure seems to have embraced her mother's and family's legacy. I wonder what her POV is about this which evidently has become family folklore! Thanks for this!

So touching, you covered so much of her career and moments in her variety show that i had forgotten, and I felt so connected to Carol because you were gracious, involved, respectful, and appreciative of every response and insight she shared. Carol clearly was very comfortable with you, and you deserve so much reverent appreciation for your research and incredible memory of her life work. I am going to watch this again and again. This was such a comfort, I can't express how much.
